David Archer

BrokerWeb Risk Services Ltd (Chief Executive)

David has been involved in the Insurance Industry for over 40 years, most of those at the helm of Insurance Broking Companies in both New Zealand and Australia.

In the 1970's David was Chief Executive of the multinational company Stewart Wrightson in New Zealand. In the early 1980's they merged with Jardine Insurance Brokers to form Jardine Wrightson Ltd. David was appointed Chief Executive of the merged Company. In 1987 David left Jardine Wrightson to form his own Broking Company, David Archer & Associates Ltd. In 1992 this merged with the New Zealand operation of global broker Minet to form Minet Archer Ltd. David was appointed Chief Executive.

Having spent time in other business interests David saw the opportunity for a quality New Zealand owned broking company and formed Brokerweb Risk Services Ltd.

Alan Black

Chief Operating Officer

Alan has been an Insurance Broker since 1978, working for International broking houses in New Zealand and Australia.

Since 1985 Alan has specialised in Consumer Insurances through retail, wholesale and Direct Marketing methods. Prior to joining his colleagues in forming Black Wood & Doyle, Alan was the National Manager for a multi-national insurance broking company.

Robert Wood

• Fellow of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand.
• Qualified Practising Insurance Broker.

Robert commenced insurance broking in 1978 with a major international broking company.

He has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, including a period based in London placing business with Lloyds and London Underwriters and also managed an insurance broking company in Sydney. Robert is also a former Insurance Tutor at Auckland Institute of Technology. During his insurance broking career, Robert has specialised in handling major commercial and industrial buyers' needs.

Pip Barstow

Pip has been in the insurance industry since 1998 when she joined our Manawatu branch. She enjoys meeting with her clients and getting to understand their businesses. Pip is enjoying Northland sunshine and exploring the Northland Vineyards.

Russell McManus

• Member of the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand.
• Professional Insurance Broker

Russell has been in the Insurance Industry since 1963. He has worked for several Insurance Companies including managing insurance operations in both Papua New Guinea and Tonga. Prior to joining his colleagues at GHI Russell operated and managed the Allianz Office in Tauranga.

Bruce Lewis

• Qualified Practising Insurance Broker

Involved in Insurance Broking at Watt Insurance Brokers Ltd since 1996 Bruce has risen through the ranks to become Regional Manager. Experienced also in Life Insurance Bruce manages a team of 10 people in the Hawkes Bay.

Wayne Gardner

• Qualified Practising Insurance Broker.
  

Wayne has over 35 years experience in Fire & General Insurance. Wayne is the Managing Director for ODL Group and specialises in commercial and Corporate Insurance.

Wayne's 'out of work' interests included all types of sport with a particular interest in rugby. He is also known to enjoy the odd bottle of quality red wine.
